Snack Stuff

I'm sure you all have this recipe written down but I wanted to put it on here to share with everyone else! This is THE White family Snack Stuff. Mom wanted the original ingredients listed but I'll write what we usually sub in now.

1 lb. butter
4 Tbs. worschesire sauce
2 tsp. celery salt
1 c. wesson vegetable oil
Tabasco sauce (a couple dashes)
1 box accent seasoning (2 Tbs)
2 Tbs. allspice
1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder

Combine ingredients in saucepan and heat until combined

1 box Cheerios
1 box Kix (we haven't been putting these in for a long time)
2 bags Pretzels (we like sticks)
1 box Wheat Thins
1 box Rice Chex (we also love to add Wheat Chex although these were not on the original recipe)
Cheese Tid Bits (we use goldfish, around half of one of the big cartons)
Mixed Nuts (a costco size can, we like almonds, peanuts, cashews, brazil nuts)
1 bag Fritos

It works best to combine all ingredients in a garbage bag to mix. Use a large roasting pan and gradually drizzle sauce over snack mixture. Pour and stir, pour and stir and repeat :-)

Bake uncovered at 200* for 3 1/2 hours, stirring the mixture every 30 minutes. Enjoy, and Happy Holidays!!

*Note: this mixture doesn't usually fit in one pan to bake it, but it fits great divided between two large tin foil roasting pans! Bonus if you have two ovens ;-) if not, you can squeeze them in together in one oven or just do them separately*
